HEALTH WATCH!

ANTI-HEART-ATTACK TEA

Here's a gentle way to sidestep a heart attack: Have a cup of tea every day! At least one cup of ordinary black tea daily, such as English Breakfast, Assam, Whittard's Original, slashed heart-attack risk by 44% (compared to non-tea drinkers) in a recent study of 680 men and women. ( Coffee had no such effect.)

The likely explanation? "Black tea contains high levels of flavonoids - antioxidant compounds also found in wine, fruits and vegetables that are known to make blood cells less prone to clotting." says study head Howard D.Sesso, ScD, instructor in medicine, Brigham andWomen's Hospital, REMEDY MAGAZINE, NOV/DEC 1999

FAQ'S:

What is the correct way to hold your teacup while having tea in the living room around a low table?

It is proper etiquette to hold both the tea cup and the saucer instead of leaving the saucer on the table. A rule of thumb is if there is more than 12 inches between you and the table, bring the saucer with you.
